Posted by kelvicious in : house, pgh , trackbackreading andy’s post about the recent weather in pittsburgh reminded me that i have little (but constant!) rivers of water flowing into my basement lately, and how much it sucks, and wouldn’t it be great if i knew who to call about this crap…
…OH WAIT I DO KNOW SOMEONE:
i haven’t seen leaky’s commercials in ages - maybe their advertising budget dried up or maybe i just fast forward through them with my sweet sweet baby tivo. doesn’t matter.
point is, these commercials worm their way into your brain and stay with you. seven years later, kenny is still with you.

What?!?! What era were these commercials? I’ve never seen one in my life. Do they really refer to your basement as “your BA” in a song?!
well, the last time i remember seeing them was around 2000/2001.

Hmmm. I’m young but I’m not that young. I was definitely watching TV long before 2000.
I think maybe Kenny was reincarnated as the “PEPPERRRRRR!” guy.
These commercials were infamous in the Ohio Valley when I was a teenager. My friends would prank call Kenny and record the results. Pretty hilarious. He lived in his mom’s house.
