About The Author: My name is Andy Horbal. I have a B.A. in Film Studies and the History of Art & Architecture (and a certificate in Children’s Literature) from the University of Pittsburgh. Presently I work at the Stark Media Services Center at the University of Pittsburgh’s Hillman Library. I’m also a student in the Masters of Library and Information Science program at Pitt’s School of Information Sciences. I watch a lot of movies in my free time. I’ve got poetry in me.
About The Site: Mirror/Stage is a guide to movies playing off the beaten track in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The “Pittsburgh Film Calendar” at the top of the sidebar includes information about every free, interesting, and/or unique film event I hear about (please e-mail me if something’s missing!) and the weekly e-mail that you can sign up for using the form below the calendar contains my thoughts on the week’s new releases. I use the blog area to talk about whatever’s on my mind (movies for the most part, but also other stuff).

Even though I subscribe to more than 150 movie blogs, I’ve (somewhat arbitrarily) decided to include only 30 in the “Film Sites - Blogs, Etc.” section of my blogroll selected for, among other things, variety. Please do not be offended if your blog doesn’t appear there.
