I’ve had a regular DJ gig, spinning heavy metal records at the Smiling Moose, since August 10, 2006. I guess we should start planning the 1-year Anniversary Party or something. It has been a great experience and I’ve met some great folks in the process.

I’ve been trying to come up with ideas to mix things up a little bit, so this week I’m gonna play a bunch of metal bands doing covers of rock, metal, punk, pop, and even some country. It should be interesting, but I’m not sure how it will go over. I have a feeling that there will be a lot of confused looks after about 15 minutes or so. and some folks will probably be pissed when I play Mordred’s version of “Superfreak”. Oh well…that’s why I’m the DJ.

Other oddities I plan on rolling out this evening:
Overkill doing Sonic Reducer. Realm’s version Elanor Rigby? Motorhead ’s cover of Emergency? Motorhead AND Girlschool doing Please Don’t Touch? Xentrix with the Ghostbusters theme??!?

Should be really stupid.
